Joey is an LA-based investigative journalist and documentary photographer. He covers policing, surveillance, protests, prisons, and inequality. He's a job creator, keeping public agencies throughout California busy processing his public records requests.

Bylines in The Guardian, Wired, LA Public Press, Knock LA, and Prism Reports.

He's been interviewed for It Could Happen Here, Al Jazeera, What's Next Los Angeles, and Law and Disorder.

He also does public records requests trainings for the other journalists and the general public.

Joey belongs to the IWW Freelancers Union and is a member of Investigative Reporters and Editors.
